Archiving Policy

The Archiving Policy for Scholarly Insight Review is designed to ensure the long-term accessibility, preservation, and integrity of the journal's content. Below is a suggested archiving policy for the journal:

1. Digital Archiving

All articles published in Scholarly Insight Review are archived in multiple digital repositories to ensure their long-term accessibility. The journal works with internationally recognized open-access repositories such as:

  • DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals)
  • PubMed Central (for relevant health and medical articles)
  • Google Scholar
  • CrossRef (for DOI registration)
  • Public Domain Archive Services (e.g., Internet Archive, LOCKSS, or CLOCKSS)

Articles are available for public access under a Creative Commons license (where applicable), providing users with the ability to read, share, and, in some cases, reuse the content with appropriate attribution.

2. Institutional Repository Deposits

Authors are encouraged to deposit their articles in their respective institutional repositories. Scholarly Insight Review supports authors in submitting their articles to institutional repositories upon publication, as well as archiving in institutional digital libraries for broader dissemination.

3. Preservation and Backups

  • The journal ensures that its entire content is backed up regularly to prevent data loss due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Archives are stored on secure servers and adhere to best practices for data integrity, including redundancy measures to prevent the loss of content.
  • Articles will be kept in perpetuity in digital archives to preserve the scholarly work of authors, ensuring it remains publicly accessible.

4. Version Control and Accessibility

  • The journal maintains the final, peer-reviewed version of articles as the official record of publication.
  • In cases of corrections, retractions, or updates, the original article will remain available alongside the revised version with clear indication of the changes.
  • The journal provides direct links to DOI (Digital Object Identifier) to facilitate citation, retrieval, and academic referencing.

5. Non-Digital Archiving

For physical archival purposes, a limited number of print copies of each issue will be produced, and these will be archived at the journal’s office and with major libraries or academic institutions where possible. This ensures that print editions are also preserved for future research use.

6. Public Access

  • The archived content will remain publicly available for free, aligning with the journal's mission to foster open science and academic engagement. No restrictions are placed on accessing or downloading published content, as long as the user adheres to the applicable licensing terms.

7. Archival Responsibilities

The editorial board is responsible for ensuring compliance with the archiving policy, and the policy will be reviewed and updated regularly to accommodate technological advancements and changes in open-access practices. The journal will inform authors of any changes to the archiving and preservation policies that may affect their work.

This policy ensures that the Scholarly Insight Review remains a reliable and accessible source of academic knowledge, offering permanent access to research findings for scholars worldwide.
